Health
A health plan before a problem
Book an early veterinary appointment with all existing paperwork. Preventative care should fit your dog’s age, medical history, environment and travel plans.

Agree an individual schedule
Ask your vet to confirm the vaccination course, when protection begins and which boosters are due. Not every vaccine component follows the same interval. Discuss flea, tick and worm risks and use the appropriate product and dose for the dog’s current weight. Arrange routine examinations, dental checks and advice about neutering suited to the individual. A practice health plan may spread routine costs; it is not the same as insurance.
Keep an everyday baseline
Know your dog’s usual appetite, drinking, toilet habits, mobility, breathing and behaviour. Small changes are easier to describe when you have a baseline. Keep vaccination records, medicines and contact details together. When requesting advice, explain when a change began, whether it is worsening and any possible toxin exposure. Never give human medicines without veterinary instruction.
